Custom fishing trip plans · US & Canada

We do the hours of research you’d do before a trip. You get the finished plan.

Regulations, access, conditions, timing, tactics and a Plan B for your water and your dates. Every rule is cited with its source, and a person reads it before it ships.

  • Instant yes for any US or Canada water
  • $49 per trip, nothing recurring
  • Money-back guarantee

01 / The problem

The research is the part nobody has time for.

Before you fish new water, this is the homework. It is scattered over a dozen sites, and half of it changes the week you go.

01

The rules that apply that day

Seasons, limits, size slots, gear rules, emergency changes, tribal and park waters.

02

Getting on the water

Which launches are open at today’s water level, fees, passes, parking, bank access.

03

Conditions

Wind, weather, flows, water temperature, tides and light, for your dates rather than an average.

04

Where and how

Seasonal patterns, depths, presentations and what to change when it’s slow.

05

Plan B

Where to go when the wind comes up, the ramp is shut or the fish aren’t there.

06

Staying safe

Hazards, cold-water risk, closed zones, who to call and how to reach them.

We do all of it. You get one plan to read the night before, and a one-page card for the boat.

02 / Not another fishing app

Not a chatbot. Not a bite forecast. A finished plan.

Fishing apps

  • Generic “bite scores” for a zip code
  • Crowd-sourced spots, no reasons
  • You still do the research
  • Monthly subscription

AI chatbots

  • Sound sure whether they’re right or not
  • Can invent a limit or a season
  • No sources, no dates
  • Nobody checks the answer

A StrikePlan

  • Built for your water, dates and boat
  • Every rule cited with source and date checked
  • Access, conditions and a Plan B included
  • Read by a person before it ships
  • $49, once

Anything we could not confirm from an official source is marked as unconfirmed in your plan instead of being guessed.

03 / How it works

Two minutes from you. The research is on us.

01

Tell us your trip. Where, when, what you’re after and how you fish it. Two minutes. Nothing is charged.

02

Get your answer straight away. Any water with fishing regulations in the US or Canada is a yes. The email lands in seconds with your delivery date and a $49 payment link.

03

Pay, and we do the research. Regulations, access, conditions, timing, tactics and a Plan B for your dates, each with its source. A person reads every plan before it ships.

04

Your plan arrives by the date in your email. Within 48 hours of payment. Booking further out? It arrives in the 48 hours before you fish, so it’s built on the real forecast.

Booking further out than the forecast reaches? You still get your answer straight away. The plan is then built and delivered in the 48 hours before you fish rather than 48 hours from payment, so it’s based on the real forecast. Same $49, and the delivery date is in your confirmation email.

06 / The guarantee

Worth it, or your money back.

If you read your plan and don’t think it was worth $49, reply before your trip ends and we refund you in full. You don’t need a reason.

We also refund if the plan misses the delivery date in your email, or if a rule or access point in it turns out to be wrong. We can’t promise the fish will bite, and we won’t pretend to.

Built by an angler

Spend the day fishing, not scouting.

I’m Jeremy Russell, an avid angler, born and bred in the Pacific Northwest. I grew up fishing for bass on inland lakes, steelhead on coastal rivers, salmon in the Sound and its rivers, trout in the lakes and kokanee wherever I could find them.

StrikePlan started with a trip to Vancouver Island with my buddies. I spent a year getting ready for it, compiling and analyzing every bit of data I could find, and somewhere in there I said, “There has to be a better way.” StrikePlan is what came out of it.

08 / Questions

The short answers.

Is this another AI fishing app?

No. There’s no app and no chatbot. You get a finished plan for one trip, written for your water and your dates. We use modern research tools to gather sources faster, but every rule in your plan is tied to an official source and a date, anything we couldn’t confirm is marked as unconfirmed, and a person reads every plan before it ships.

Which waters do you cover?

Any water with fishing regulations in the US or Canada: lakes, reservoirs, rivers, streams, bays and sounds, by boat, kayak, bank or wading. Send your trip and the answer comes back straight away. Outside the US and Canada we’re not there yet, and you can join the list.

When do I pay?

After you get your yes. Send your trip details for free and the confirmation email arrives within seconds with your delivery date and a $49 payment link. Already decided? Use Pay Now and send the details after.

When does it arrive?

By the date in your confirmation email: within 48 hours of payment for trips in the next week. For trips further out, it arrives in the 48 hours before you fish, so it’s built on the real forecast. Trips starting today or tomorrow: reply to the email and we’ll tell you honestly what we can do in time.

What if I’m not happy?

If you don’t think the plan was worth $49, reply before your trip ends and we refund you in full. No reason needed. We also refund if we miss the delivery date, or if a rule or access point in the plan turns out to be wrong.

What’s in the plan?

The verdict and why, the rules that apply on your water and dates (each with source and date checked), access and launches, conditions for your dates, where to start and what to run, what to change when it’s slow, a Plan B, safety notes, and a one-page Cockpit Card for the boat. Both as PDFs.
